■ 特別セミナー
平成17年度第1回市議会議員特別セミナー
4月14日（木）から15日（金）まで
（申込受付は3月22日（火）まで）
本セミナーは、市議会議員の皆様を対象に、「豊かで、元気・活力がある
地域づくり」をテーマとし、実施いたします。

◎ 2月に実施した注目の研修！ ◎

■ 2月にJIAMで実施したコースを紹介します。
○ 専門実務コース「介護保険事務」
（2月2日（水）から9日（水）まで8日間 研修生71人）
介護保険制度は、本年度大幅な改正時期にあり、第162回通常国会に
2月8日付で改正法案が提出され審議されている状況にあります。
本研修は、これらを踏まえ、第3期介護保険事業計画の策定に重点を置
き実施しました。真剣に取り組む研修生の姿、詳細は次のURLからご覧

○ 政策実務系セミナー「地方自治体における危機管理」
（2月8日（火）から10日（木）まで3日間 研修生36人）
「住民の信頼を損なうことなく行政を進めていくうえで必要となる『危
機管理』」をテーマとして、危機への対応や防止策について、事例紹介や
演習を含む内容で実施しました。

○ 政策実務系セミナー「地域経済の活性化」
（2月16日（火）から18日（木）まで3日間 研修生37人）
産業クラスター計画とは、地域における人と人とのネットワーク、信頼
を高め、新たな産業創出の誘因を図る。
人口減少、少子高齢社会における地域の方向性、行政はどのようにこれ
らの問題に取り組むべきか．．．

～日本の街、地域等の英語での説明方法 第7回～ ◎

前回は、ご自分のホームタウンの自慢として、その街の有名な特産、見所、
人物などについての語り方を学びました。
■ 今回のワンポイント
市町村の人口、主要産業等の基本情報を外国人に紹介した際、それに対し
て、いろいろな質問がなされるかと思います。
また、場合によっては、政策・方針などのように、やや英語での回答が難
しいものもあるかと思います。
今回は、いろいろな質問とそれに対する答の例を挙げてみました。参考に
なれば幸いです。
◇ What food or drink is popular in your village?
・回答例1
Fresh crab and other seafood are very popular in our village.
・回答例2
We grow many delicious fruits in our town.
・回答例3
Our city is famous for its senbei crackers.
◇ Are there any places children can enjoy in your city?
・回答例1
The children's museum is very popular with children in our city.

Children love the nature park in our village.

Juji Ishii, a pioneer of modern social welfare in Japan, was
